Lori Baker, LISW

Lori Baker, LISW, is a licensed independent social worker who received her master’s degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 1992. She has over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings. Baker worked in community mental health for six years where she specialized in providing home-based therapy and intensive therapy to children in therapeutic foster care. She was a part-time Social Work instructor at Ohio University regional campuses from 1999-2002. Baker has been in private practice since 1996 and specializes in providing outpatient treatment to children, adolescents and families. Much of her clinical work utilizes play therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapies.

Baker specializes in clients dealing with depression, anxiety, self-mutilation, ADD/ADHD, pervasive developmental disorders, OCD, anger management, adoption issues, and physical and sexual abuse. She believes that involving families in their children’s treatment is the best way to impact lasting and positive change.

She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and an Associate Member of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
